Why 70% off?

The Avelther family received an offer to sell the brand and move production to a factory line. They refused, and chose to close the workshop instead. Every pair is still bench-lasted by hand in Almansa, Goodyear welted, and built to outlive the brand that made it. This is the final production run at 70% off. Not a promotion. A farewell on their own terms. When the last pair ships, the name retires with it. No restocking. No exceptions.

Description

The Adelaide shares its closed-lacing construction with The Oxford, giving it a similarly formal foundation. Made by hand in Spain with Goodyear welt construction and set on a single leather sole, it features brogue perforations and a U-shaped facing that add ornamentation while keeping the profile refined. Suitable for both formal and semi-formal settings.

Fit & sizing

Fits true to size – take your usual size

Please refer to our Size Guide above or reach out to our customer experience team for detailed sizing guidance.

Care
  • Rotate between wears and insert shoe trees after use to retain shape and minimise creasing.
  • Use a shoe horn when putting them on and remove the lace-ups by hand to protect the heel.
  • Brush or wipe the leather upper after wear to remove dust and light surface marks.
  • Clean with a leather cleaner when needed, then apply a thin layer of cream or polish if the leather looks dry.
  • Let the leather sole dry at room temperature if it becomes damp and keep away from direct heat sources.
  • If you expect frequent wear in wet conditions, add a thin rubber sole for extra grip and added longevity.
  • Store the lace-ups in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

How to measure your feet

  1. Wear the socks you typically pair with these shoes.
  2. Place your foot on a piece of paper and trace its outline.
  3. Measure from the heel to the longest toe using a ruler.
  4. Match your measurement to the table above and adjust for foot shape.

The CM and Inch values above correspond to the recommended size based on your foot's length, not the shoe's internal length.

Adjust for foot shape

  • Normal: choose the size closest to your measurement.
  • Wide: choose a half size larger than your nearest measurement.
  • Narrow: choose the smaller size if your measurement falls between two sizes.

Thirteen Years. One Last Run.

Thirteen years in the same workshop in Almansa. The same benches, the same wooden lasts, the same hands. A pair took days, not minutes, and left only when it was right.

That is also why it ends. We were asked to move production abroad and cut the welt. We said no, and closed instead.

What remains is the final run, now at 70% off. When a size is gone, it is gone.

Shoes like these outlive the workshop that made them. That was always the point.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the closing sale, sizing, shipping, returns and warranty.

The Avelther family was asked to move production abroad and cut the welt. They refused, and chose to close the workshop instead. Every pair in this final run is now 70% off, already reflected in the price. Not a promotion. A farewell on their own terms.
Every product page has its own size guide with EU, UK, US and centimetre conversions for that specific last. Trace your foot, measure heel to longest toe, and match it to the table. Most of our lace-ups fit large, so we usually recommend going half a size down. If you are between sizes, message us before ordering.
No. This is the final production run. Each size was made once and will not be produced again. When a size sells out, it leaves the site for good, so if you find your size available, it is the last time you will.
Every pair is bench-lasted by hand in our workshop in Almansa, Spain, using full-grain leather and Goodyear welted construction. That means the sole is stitched, not glued, so the shoes can be resoled and worn for years rather than replaced.
Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days. We offer free worldwide shipping, with delivery typically taking 7 to 15 business days depending on your location. You'll receive a tracking link as soon as your order ships.
Every pair is covered by a 1-year craftsmanship warranty on construction, stitching and sole attachment, honoured until the last day, even after the workshop closes. And you have 30 days to return your order for a full refund if the fit is not right. Try them on indoors on a clean surface to keep them returnable.
